This is my card for Wed. sketch and Thurs. ways to use it. Today, I'm on the same team Cindy (Mothermark) is on: playing injured. While she had an injured lip, I have 3 burned fingers. Please tell me I'm not the only one who has put an oven mitt on one hand and pulled the pan out of the oven with the other hand. All I could say was, That's gonna hurt. Ok, I'm probably the only one who's done it twice. You'd think I'd learn left from right by now. Or at least which hand the mitt is on.
I probably have some 'splainin' to do about this card. The dp (sorta) is actually from a dollar pack of notecards I bought at Mike's. I just loved the colors. I cut the front off and used it as my dp. The flower is a silk flower that I took apart and put back together, adding little piece of ribbon for the pinwheel. I brushed a little twinkling H2Os on it, but I couldn't get the pic to capture it.
The border was done w/ a corner punch (ANM Anna Griffin) that I took the little plastic guides out so I could punch it straight. It's now back to being a corner punch again. The rest is just layered a few times. Did the Dots on the border piece and used the Fastenator for my gratuitous staple use. Couple more staples on the flower center.
We have a rubber stamp convention here tomorrow so I have to go warm up. Practice the 50 yd dash so I can beat the others in. Hurdles, so I can leap fellow stampers at a single bound. Practice speed reading backwards so I can pick out unmounteds. That thing w/ the mirror really slows me down. Hopefully I won't buy one I think is a fancy Happy Birthday and find out it really says Welcome to Greenland or something. The last 4 conventions I worked doing demos so I really didn't get to shop. This time, lots of shopping. Wish me luck and TFL.

This is fabulous!!! The colours are wonderful, the design reminds me of one of our kitchens that my dad remodelled growing up, very fresh and clean!! Love your story, sorry to hear about your accident. I have never reached into the oven with my bare hands, however I have grabbed my pampered chef pizza racks with my bare hands right after they have come out of the oven, duh!!!!! Anyway, hope you heal quickly and have a wonderful time at the convention and thanks for sharing your beautiful card and story with us

Being the trooper you are, I am sure you can do the team proud and shop till you drop. You go girl! You will overcome!
When you were pulling the pan out of the oven with the oven mitt on the other hand were you obsessing about making a card inspired by your most recent Michael's treasures?? Or were you quickly taking care of dinner in between leaving comments on challenge cards??? Huh? I can relate....that's how I burn my toast most mornings.
This is a wonderful and happy card. It is so cheerful and bright. I love it.

This is simply gogeous!!! As always, I love your bold colours - love the blue and yellow - and I love how your punch goes with your bg paper!! Really gorgeous! Sorry about the hand!! Knock on wood , I haven't yet grabbed the pan with the wrong hand - but I have several turned the wrong burner up to high - and nearly ruined an empty pan! sigh!
