here's my second take on the SC...you never know when inspiration will take hold! I've had this hydrangea paper by Hot off the Press for quite a long time, think you can still find it at Jo's. I loved it because it is one of my favorite flowers and it's purple. But I never used it because it was just so there...lying there looking so, well flat. I cut one of the bigger blooms out and then began paring it down until it would fit my card. I selected two Basic Grey papers from the Lily Kate collection for the cs and the panel. On the celery I stamped Hero Arts Memories stamp in distress ink peeled paint and on the rain card base, I used the retired paisley BG with dusty concord. On my sentiment strip, I stamped Thoreau quote in archival black and embossed with clear ep. Still the big, showy, beautiful flower just lay on my card...until I took it into my hands and wadded it up...and wrinkled it came to life, now it had character and was worthy of the color purple....Thanks so much for reading and looking!
