Not sure about this card, it still looks like itÂ’s missing something. I always pick the challenge layout before I do the card so itÂ’s fair game for all of us, I win some - I loose someÂ…thatÂ’s why itÂ’s called a challenge!
Lindsay is right, it needed ribbon. Thanks for the suggestion!
Measurements: The outside black circle is 3 3/8”
-The flowers are colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits then heat embossed with clear powder. They are glued to the card. Two small and one large flower is raised using punched out ¼” circles glued together; this gives a nice depth to the card and keeps the mailing cost efficient.
-Tool distressing is done on the plain circle edges and ink distressing on the all but the black.
-I scored ½” away from the side fold. Machine stitching is done all the way thru the card and knotted and trimmed on the back so it looks very neat.
-The little dots are from a 1/16” circle punch. I use a long quilting straight pin as my tool; touch it to the glue, touch the punch out and it picks it up so I can place it on the card and press with my finger to release it. It goes very quick, the last row took 1/ ½ minutes and I had to punch ten more during this time.
-Ink distressing was also done on the card base along the edge.
The dark section with the stitching is just the angle the light hit, itÂ’s not distressed any different that the opposite side.
Thanks to Judylb for the circle scallop punch out!
