This is for today's color challenge of Pretty in Pink, Purely Pomegranate and Old Olive -- some of my favorite combinations!!!
This is a 4 1/4" square card using Sweet Sampler -- how I love that cute little set!!! When I was making this card it reminded me of those candies my Grandma used to give us when we were kids -- I can't think of the name of them -- pink, large, chalky round mints -- always reminded us of Pepto Bismol, but we loved them!!! I think I'll get some of those and make up a little gift bag of those candies with a coordinating tag and this card -- wouldn't that be cute!!!
The scallop is made with the corner rounder and I used the SAMJ to line up the lace from Trimtastic which is the same size as the scallop -- very quick and easy!!! The DP is in the new Holiday Mini -- just love it!!! Great Christmas papers!!!
Thanks for looking!
Editing: No one can remember the name of those candies -- it just came to me -- I think -- was it Pep-O-Mints -- wasn't there a big O in the middle? Not sure, but maybe?

This is awesome - love the simple lines, scallops and the ribbon.

HAHA! Before I read your story, I was thinking that this card reminded me of candy in a candy shoppe!!! And it is just gorgeous! I love everything about it! And Pep-O-Mints were a candy we used to get from Grandma too~

OK Sharon, I adore this! My first thought was of an old fashioned sweet shoppe for some reason. Then, I read your description and knew your interpretation came through on this one. We called those mints Grandma candy. I can picture the cut glass candy dish on the coffee table clearly.

I don't remember the name of those candies, but our next-door-neighbor used to give those to the neighbor kids all the time when I was little - haven't thought of those in years!
By the way, very nice card! I love the Trimtastic lined up under the scalloped edge - it really looks like real lace in the pic!
