I played off the squares and colors and some images that were similar to the example.
This card measures 5 ¾” x 4 5/8”, I have some assorted envelopes to use up.
I wanted to use my square punch so after punching white cardstock I arranged the squares as they would be placed on the card with a touch of double sided tape holding it to junk cardstock.
The images are stamped first, and then the sponging is done starting with the center and working out. I also ink distressed the outside edges of the outside squares only Each square was embossed with clear powder twice then itÂ’s ready to assemble.
The black corners are a square cut in half corner to corner. I heat embossed the corners, window word tabs and the black oval. The corners are attached with Diamond Glaze/DG and the tabs with tacky glue. The oval got both DG and glue used to attach it. DG works best for the embossed area.
The brads were odds and ends and four different colors so I heat embossed them in black and did two coats. ItÂ’s best to press the brad into the embossing ink pad, then into the powder and heat. For the second coat just dip the brad in powder before it has a chance to cool and reheat.
The base of the card is white cardstock colored direct to paper with Basic Black.
Ink distressing was done on the green panel and oval.
The hemp is tied first and single sided taped to the back.
