I admired the retired 1997 Let it Snow set and was inspired by a card Vicky Gould did Gallery at Splitcoaststampers. I told her I would kill for that snowman so she sent me some of the images so she wouldn't have to read about a Florida woman being held for murder. I also got my own set in the mail today because I loved it enough to purchase it off Ebay.
I masked off the snowman and used my caramel and olive marker to do the forest scene with the trees. I filled in each tree trunk with creamy caramel reinker and then sponged over the trees with olive to give depth. After painting the snowman I sponged in bashful and buckaroo blue for the frozen pond. I stamped falling snow with Petal Pushers seeds stamp and embossed with white detail ep. I layed down liquid applique' for the ground snow. Finally, I attached the painted and cut out mittens and skates to the scene.

Oh Kittie, what an incredible piece you have here! Besides your always beautifully executed work, this one has the additional element of depth and perspective. It's just breathtaking! TFS!

This is so beautiful! Lots of great dimension with the woods behind the snowman! You know, I find it amusing that you live in Florida and you do all these fantastic snow scenes!
