This week's Tea Party is for Cori in Michigan who is dealing with breast cancer. Jacqueline is our hostess and has given us a very fun challenge called "ROYGBIV with a Twist." I chose orange (naturally) and my twist is an octopus. He's offering up a lot of hugs. I started with a piece of orange cardstock and applied orange glitter paste through a stencil. I cut and colored the octopus and layered him on top of a piece of Coral Reef calendar page. I hope this qualifies for this week's TLC Challenge. Instead of using a tissue box or envelope, I used the calendar page and a package (that was sort of an envelope) that my kid got some Pokemon cards in. It was so fabulously shiny and iridescent that I couldn't not keep it. I dissected it and stuck it to some double sided tape and stuck it to some Neenah cardstock. Then I die cut the "hugs". I did get two identical cards made today and I still have another piece of that iridescent packaging for another day!
