This tag is for Cathy's Ways To Use It Challenge. Check out the challenge and come and play.
It's also for the Alpha Challenge E = Embossing.
I used 3 different faux techniques on this tag starting with the metal faux tape technique. After sticking the metal tape paper onto CS I ran it through my BS using 2 separate EFs. Rubbed black ink on top which didn't come out that great. Then finally rubbing different coloured waxes on top. I've had great success doing this technique previously but for some reason the black ink and waxes didn't come out quite as intended.
The paper doll was stamped twice. Once onto CS which was fussy cut. The second time I stamped half of the body onto brown foam which I had heated first to try and get the faux leather look on the coat and trousers. There is an SCS tutorial on this. Mine didn't look like leather so I rubbed some black ink on top and paper pieced the pocket which I had stamped onto patterned paper and fussy cut. I think the technique would come out better using a lighter foam.
Onto the rest of the jacket and hat. Stamping the image onto patterned paper I fussy cut the top of the jacket and added to the paper doll. The hat was fussy cut out of some faux washi tape I had in my stash, with the pom-pom coloured and sparkle added.
Gold pen added on the legs and after more stickles on the coloured shoes. What girl doesn't like sparkle?
Sticker and ribbon added and done.
I love Julie Nutting's paper dolls and had fun creating the outfit for this one.
TFL. Happy day
