This card is for the Teapot Party Tickle. The theme is to think about the Browner side of the Fence (or Green as some of us say) and to think about the things that we all have.
I am so grateful for so many things....my DH, my family and grandchildren, my home, and I often pinch myself when I think about how my new country and home allowed me to come here and become a citizen many years ago. I'm also very grateful for the life that my DH and I share, for friends around the world and also friends on this site that I have met over the past few years. I'm grateful to our State Premier for keeping us safe and which is allowing us to just continue to live. So many things to be thankful for.
I thought about what I wanted to convey on this card and it was difficult as so many things, but during the past year, one thing that I am grateful for is good health and to be able to wake each day and do things that I sometimes take for granted. After a year of ups and downs with health in our household I am thankful that we can continue to keep living.
I started my card with an ugly panel I had in my stash which had greens and oranges and some pink on and used a rose EF and did the sanded embossing technique. Great technique and gives an amazing effect on what started out as not a great panel.
I then created a panel using a cloud stencil and did Lydia's Fat&Lean technique...wow that technique gives a great effect. I shall definitely be trying this one again too. Unfortunately I then decided to cut the panel up using a new window/flower box die set. You can't see the clouds too well but they are there. I wanted to give the impression of cloud reflections in the window. I popped each panel up including the square window panes.
Die cut flowers and added to the flower box. This also was cut out of my Fat&Lean panel but was looking too plain and had lost its clouds LOL, so I decided to add a lace border that I've had in my stash since I started scrapbooking...at least 25 years ago.
Plonked my embossed and distressed panel on top of gauze/cheesecloth that I sprayed with Dylusions shimmer inks.
Die cut the butterfly out of the Fat&Lean panel that was left and added bling. Stamped my sentiment on another piece of panel in my stash and finally added WoS and stickles.
TFL. Happy day

I loved your write up about how you put this together. I found your clouds. I see them in the windows. The lace for the window box is precious! Lovely colors and a wonderful mixed media piece!
