Color Challenge hosted by Mary: Whisper to Old and Rich with dessert option of enamel dots.
I had just refilled my Old Olive ink pad when I stamped a fern to die-cut. The image was dark and solid, so I huffed on the stamp and made a second impression. The second one had a cool watercolor look with a more natural leaf appearance. So I stamped several fern in this manner. I kept the solid impressions for another day. It was an interesting discovery.
I had stamped the butterfly the day before and thought it needed something more. I did not know if it would work a day later, however I tried using my blender pen to pull some of the ink into the wings. It worked nicely with less smearing and that was a cool discovery. Doing this technique gave the butterfly wings a pretty, lighter shade of color. I layered the die-cuts on an embossed panel. It was the first time to use the Pinewood Planks EF and I discovered that I used the wrong side. Oh well. Live and learn! The flowers are popped up. Wink of Stella on the flower centers and butterflies. Three enamel dots for dessert. No sentiment this time.
Beautiful colors to work with and fun things to discover! Thanks Mary and thank YOU for looking!
