To stamp the snowman as you see him, "rock" the edges only of your circle stamp against the ink pad--do not entirely ink the whole image. I tap or rock at an angle so only the outer edges of the image hit the pad and I just keep going until all the edges only are inked. Then, impress to paper. It's very easy and quick. You could edge the image with a marker, but it's faster to use the pad, and you get that nice gradation of color as opposed to a defined area of the edge being inked (or sharp edges, if you know what I mean?).
