Was going through my wood block stamps to see which ones should be made available to another loving home and came across this very old Mickey/Minnie stamp. I knew right away it was destined to be made into a Valentine for my honey.
I know Rubber Stampede sold some of the Disney stamps, but these were much more cheaply made - rubber cut to the size of the wood block rather than around the image, etc. So not sure about the source.
Stamped focal image on A2 panel. Had done some playing first on leftover scraps and it was clear that the rubber was old enough that my Memento ink wasn't going to get good coverage no matter how many times I re-inked and stamped it. Therefore, I used Versafine black and clear embossed. Then I carefully colored with my Copics, trying to keep them from coming in touch with the embossing as possible as I knew that could damage the nibs.
Once my image was completed, I die cut 2 Bazzill panels with the A2 stitched edge and selfie dies from MFT. I then cut down my focal panel using a slightly smaller stitched die so that it wouldn't peek out from underneath.
Stamped/embossed my sentiment and assembled the card.
This stamp will have to go by the wayside but I can't tell you how thrilled I was to be able to be able to use it one more time. Both my honey and I love Disney, so it is perfect.
TFL!

A really sweet card, your coloring is perfect and your hubby sure to be making this a keepsake.
Sometimes the rubber softens if you moisten it with Glycerine of leave it coated in Versamark ink.
