This is for Robin's fun F4A challenge. What a better way to spend a summers day than laughing with a gal pal, sand between your toes and a few little drinkies.
This card started out life as a 5"x 7" and the entire scene was coloured on copy paper but the sky and the water looked really dodgy.
When ever I colour outside the lines, I just draw a new line - I basically applied the same principle here, I just lopped off the bits I didn't like and created a new size.
To make the fussy cutting a bit easier I just fussy cut everything above the sand line. I then hunted through my stash of backgrounds until I found the right match.
To make the clouds I put a bit of water on a cloth and rubbed a patch of blue until the white core of the background cardstock showed through. I did this before I adhered the girls to the background in case it didn't work.
The chairs are coloured with pencils and a Copic. All the pink colouring is just one pencil, Zest it pencil blend and differing amounts of pressure on the pencil.
As always I gently wiped a "pre stained" walnut stain distress ink foam blending tool over the entire image. It really does make a difference.
When I was getting ready to photograph this, I noticed a dirty mark on Rightie's leg....yep, I added to the mess and gave her a few scars, she looks the adventurous type.
Thanks very much for looking and I hope you get a chance to join in.

Miss Susie I love your out of the box designs. The scar on the leg - I never in a million would have thought to do that and you friend made this card real! I always love seeing what you put in the gallery and this is just perfect!

Still smiling and giggling at your fun scene, Susie! Fabulous coloring, bright colors and fussy cutting of your gal pals. Love the way you rescue images, adding a scar to Rightie. I like Joanne's backstory of the vintage Triumph. So good to have your creations back in the gallery.

What a laugh - made me smile. Scar on the leg - that is just a knee replacement where the surgeon got a bit carried away - doesn’t matter because the knee is definitely working OK. Battle scars - just goes to that you have lived life to the full and survived. Another great Susie card.

Yep, that’s me, old scar legged rightie! What else can I say that everyone else hasn’t already quipped? That your descriptions are fascinating and so very helpful if I get the courage to step into your orbit! Luv your art, Susie

oh Susie, this card is so inviting, realistic... I can just put myself right in there. I laughed because I had a feeling you added the surgical scar to Righties leg. and then read the descr and lol that I guessed it! your coloring is fantastic and I just have to try the Zest approach. I read some reviews on using it that scared me off, but I just need to jump in and do it! I love your mind and this is just a product of that wonder!! thanks for commenting on my Rooster card. it suits my farm / Midwest roots and my friends just adore getting cards they can relate to. ;) thanks for making me have a great big SMILE this morning.
