Such a wonderful site today for the Inspiration Challenge. After much window shopping, I chose THIS for my inspiration. My colors ended up being a little more blue than green, but thatâs how it goes sometimes.
For my card, I stamped the lovely poppies onto 3 slightly different shades of teal using teal ink. I colored them all w/ the same Prismacolor pencils then die cut w/ the matching die. The background was done on glossy card & I stamped a bunch of different Birthday greetings w/ clear resist ink then brayered over it w/ a Kaliedacolor rainbow ink pad. I spattered it a little w/ wet paintbrush then dabbed off the water drops. The resist images were very easy to see at first (you can see it on my blog, in the pic w/ the Prismas), but by the next day when I took the rest of the pics, the words had just about faded into the bg & only the water splats remained. I used a circle & a rectangle frame to give my image & bg a little punch then added the die cut greeting. It actually says Wishes but I trimmed off the ES.
Thanks so much for looking. Closeups, product links & Prisma colors are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Julie, the poppy flowers are gorgeous with your use of different blues. I love how you used the same color blue for the background and the soft stamped sentiments in the background. I don't know how you come up with these gorgeous techniques but I sure love the outcome. My brain just doesn't work in that direction and I sure wish it did.

Too bad about the words disappearing, Julie. I love all the blue, reminds me of the beautiful oceans in the Caribbean. Beautiful card...love the touches of white~
