I love Tickle a Teapotter time of the month. Thank you Sabrina for making this monthly event so much fun and run so smoothly. You do so much here at SCS and it is greatly appreciated.
The local girls were very excited to be in the Miss Whykickamoocow contest. The rules were quite strict this year, no bikinis or naval rings....you can imagine the shocked looks when Trixie turned up wearing both!
Initially Trixie was announced the winner, but Clementine protested that Trixie should be disqualified, not only because she broke the dress code, but in fact she lives in Gimpleroo - a good two and a half hour drive outside of the district.
After much discussion with the Whykickamoocow Country Women's Association (WCWA) secretary Joyce, and the event organisers, it was decided to award Clemi the title of Miss Whykickamoocow and Trixie was named runner up, technically that makes her the first loser. Neither of the girls look very happy with this result and I expect this is not the last we are going to hear on the matter.
About the card - the background is part of the stash of backgrounds I made last week using Dylusions Ink spray and Distress inks, lots of water, stamping and
stenciling (with paste and ink).
I figure if you are going to get messy, then make as many backgrounds as you can until all the ink and paste run out. I have read that mixed media does not have to be messy - for me that's like saying you don't have to get wet when you go for a swim!
My bunting is made from washi tape and gold twine, only the two end flags are glued to the card. The Teapotter who receives this will be able to foof the other flags up a bit.
I don't often add sentiments to the front of cards, but this one seemed to fit perfectly..."I didn't get to be this fabulous overnight".
I hope you get a chance to join us at the Whykickamoocow Festival. Apart from the beauty contest, there will be Best in Show awards for the Best Floral display, Best Bird/Birds and Best Musician/Musical Performance. I can't wait to see all the cards!
Thanks so much for looking.

OMG I'm on the floor laughing (this could be because of two glasses of wine but I don't think so)
This is such a hilarious parody on the CWA and truthfully I have been in situations like this and it was scary. Love, love, love your write up mate and your girls are classic country girls.
wish I could play.

Another stunning card Susie. By the looks on these girls faces they didn't part on the best of terms. I can see why Trixie wanted to flaunt her new red bikini and show off the new navel piercing. What girl wouldn't. Seeing the fun she had makes you want to think about getting a piercing as well - he he he - ha ha ha! Have been having fun reading all the great comments on this card - got a few good laughs.

This is so funny! I was disappointed when your story ended. You have such an amazing imagination and I always look forward to reading every word you write. Then I read Ellen’s comment - did you two go to the same school? I was a bit shocked at Ellen’s use of the word hooha until I realized she didn’t know the modern meaning which then made her comments even funnier. The urban dictionary says it means ..... well .... a woman’s private lady parts. Don’t ask me how I know that.
Luv your artwork!

Well, neither of them looks very pleased with the outcome, do they? Judging by the stories, it seems the Whykickamoocow festival is also a festival of hurt feelings... in a funny way, of course. Awesome background, and I love the fluttery look of your washi flags.
Thanks for hosting this one Susie and sharing these great stories.. I think Whycickamoocow is a highlight of the Tickle year.
