This is my 2nd week as a guest designer for the color challenges and this is the card I made. Jeanne is our hostess and she chose the fabulous colors of Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight and dessert is Summer's Last Hurrah. For me, when the the water lilies are blooming and there are hundreds of dragonflies flitting in and around the water lilies, this is summer's last hurrah. I love it when the water lilies are blooming so I dug out this wonderful old PSX stamp and showed it some love. The only ink color I own is daffodil delight so I used copic and spectrum noir alcohol markers to color this image in. Clear wink of stella is used around the large lily pad, but you cannot see it in this photo, but it is really shimmery and makes the water look like it is moving. The dragon fly was made with color burst powders and water, then set aside to dry. I sprayed this piece with Elmer's spray glue and then poured crystal glitter over the spray glue, then set aside to dry. Once dry, the dragonfly was cut from this piece. It is really sparkly in real life and covers up an ink blob I got on my card when I was all done with it. How does that happen? Well, it turned into an opportunity to embellish so that is a good thing. Thank you for looking today, and I hope you can play in the color challenge this week. ~Karen.

Karen, this is a gorgeous card and I love that beautiful water lily. Your water is so sparkly and you have made a super dragonfly. The sequins remind me of raindrops falling into the water. All fabulous!!!

Oh how LOVELY, Karen! Your colors are so, so pretty together...that is the perfect image to show them off! Love your soft, soft, sponged sky bg. Stitching and mat layering really show it off.

Wow, this is just gorgeous. Your coloring and the use of the colors are wonderful. I am behind in commenting and probably won't catch up, but I am trying. I was sick a couple of weeks and then we had company for a week. Hopefully this week things will get back to normal.
