White detailing: splattering white acrylic paint splatters, and applying white gesso over parts of my bg to create areas of light and dark, allowing my bird to "pop" more.
For my bg and for the body of the bird: I used a variety of sponging, stamping, and stenciling until I was satisfied. I applied some white gesso to the edges and across some parts of the panel with my fingers, and then sponged black ink around the edges of the panel. Splattered some black ink and diluted white acrylic paint. I die cut my bird and branch, stamped the sentiment. Adhered the bird and branch to my card front with dimensionals, which is totally putzy but makes such a difference!!
I made another card with the same techniques here, if you care to check it out. These are such fun to make!!
