It's time for a new Color Challenge! It's my turn to host this week and I've chosen the colors of Watermelon Wonder, Old Olive and Smoky Slate, with the dessert option to use a die cut sentiment/shape/image.
For my card, I watercolored and fussy cut the floral image, then mounted it over the base covered with striped patterned paper and a die cut border. I also used a Crimson colored pencil in the very shaded areas of the image and then painted with a shimmer pen.
The sentiment was die cut from both black and Watercolor Wonder card stocks, layered slightly offset so the black would provide a shadow. Once adhered to the base, crystal glaze was added from some nice shine. The final touch was to add black and white Nuvo crystal drops.
Thanks for looking and I hope you'll be able to join the Color Challenge this week!
Stef

Stef...this is SO FABULOUS! You have absolutely aced that color challenge! Your blooms are so rich and vibrant contrasting so lovely with the white and gray! Plus, your coloring and shading is the ultimate! Love that lacy stripe that your flowers rest on in black...more great contrast and your stacked and shadowed die-cut sentiment!
