This week's teapotter's challenge is to be inspired by a couple of Van Gogh paintings. I chose Starry Night. I was guided by this approach to create my galaxy background: http://www.sparkletart.com/rsr/2016/...rnal-page.html though I didn't use as many colors as I was sticking with blue and black to stay closer to Starry Night.
I did add paint to the background, salt, rubbing alcohol, etc. The next layer, I added more color and sprinkled gold Perfect Pearls. For my last layer, I splattered watered down white acrylic paint to create my stars. I had intended to stamp a dark silhouette of some sort on here but liked the background so much, I didn't want to cover it.
I cut the sentiment three times, twice out of white, and last the gold glitter paper, then stacked them for dimension and a hint of shadowing. I matted it with the gold glitter paper and added it all to a white card base.
This was fun to make. Thanks for looking!

Lovely channeling of VanGogh to achieve your starry sky background! It certainly stands on its own without additional fuss! So love your celebrate enhancement!
