THe IC challenge has us going to the Needlepoint.com site. I did Needlepoint when I was younger but nothing like these lovely sets. I was inspired by this lovely snowy bird needlepoint set:
I was also inspired by a challenge I have been playing with Lacyquilter (Melody). We have been challenging each other to have some fun playing with our beloved SU! Natural Beauty stamp sets. This time our challenge was to do really wintry card. Here is her awesome winter bridge card:
I used an old hymnal page for my base, cut up and painted some cardboard, squished up some straw material I have hoarded for years, added a flower, stamped some leaves and the bird from the set, sponged the images and the edges of the panels, and then added a bunch of flecked on Snowtex.
With the torn edges, this also fits MIX261 - I have ink, paint, and Snowtex as my Media.
Many hugz!

Oh, Nancy, this is really awesome! I love all the texture and the way you tucked the leaves in. That luscious flower looks like a pine cone full of snow. Beautiful!

I could get lost in this wonderful creation Nancy. I love all the different technique and of course your signature cardboard. I fondly think of you when I put a box in the recycle bin!!
