Using a technique I learned from Loll Thompson here, I created an alcohol ink bg (I was out of yuppo paper though so I tried Bristol vellum coated cs and it worked pretty well) with blues and some silver mixative. As it was drying I splattered on some white acrylic paint and also some more of the darkest blue alcohol ink. I love the effect this created. I matted the panel with silver foil cs and embossed the sentiment on my card front in silver. Die cut my tree and star and assembled - so happy with how it turned out!
I always love the techniques I learn from Loll!! Thanks Loll!

Great job with the alcohol inks - I've never tried them on bristol - you got a fabulous effect. So glad you let it take centre stage, with the simple tree and star not detracting from it.

Loll shows us the best techniques! I love, love, love your background, Maura! The white plays off it beautifully! Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!
