This is my sample for CC658. Stef is our hostess and she has chosen daffodil delight, blackberry bliss, tangelo twist and black for her color palette. Dessert option this week is Halloween.
This is also for Edna's "All Caps" Falliday Fest Challenge. She wants us to include ALL CAPS either in the card background or sentiment.
I don't usually make Halloween cards but I have this cute Halloween Pup die from CottageCutz. My daughter-in-law will be the recipient of this card and I will send it from their dog. She will get a chuckle out of it. Especially since I will put his picture inside and ask her if she likes his costume. They have a boxer but now he is in costume for Halloween on this card (lol)!!
I cased myself on this card. You can see my original here. I even used the same sketch SC661 and changed it up by using this week's colors.
My background tangelo twist dsp is from the Stampin'-Up "confetti celebration" collection. I embossed half the background with the pumpkin harvest embossing folder and then used blackberry bliss ribbon to separate the panels.
On the image panel, I attached the Halloween Pup with dimensionals. The trick or treat word is from the CottageCutz Halloween Phrase & More die. Cut in blackberry bliss and layered on the daffodil delight circle. I used wink of stella on the spider for a little bling.
Finished off my card by adding 3 daffodil delight enamel dots. Hope you can play along with us this week. Stef has given some great fall colors if you want to do a Thanksgiving or harvest card instead of Halloween.
