Felt like I really needed some craft therapy this afternoon and my boss's birthday gave my creative muse some focus.
Stamped and colored the hedgie (E50, E31, E25, E18, R0000, R00). The image I used actually has the hedgie holding a stack of birthday presents. Decided to try my hand at altering the image so that he could be holding some balloons instead.
Stamped my sentiment (Amuse).
Stamped, colored and die cut 3 MFT balloons. (BG11, BG13, BG18, T4 | YR02, YR04, YR07, YR09, T3 | YG01, YG06, YG25, T3) I knew I didn't want the die cut string, so I snipped it off. Positioned my balloons then used a ruler and black ball point pen to draw in the strings. Since I had gotten a wee bit of the bottom edge of the bottom gift when I stamped the hedgie, I drew in a looped bow to cover up the stray mark.
Cut a thin piece of cardstock the same size as my focal panel and mounted my focal panel on it before adding the black mat layer. Cut a piece of Bazzill Diamond Bling cardstock slightly smaller than card base. Adhered with double faced tape. Added the matted focal panel.
Finishing touches:
Used a Copic multil-liner to enhance my hedgie's eye and used black Nuvo drops to give his nose a little bit of dimension. Ran some clear Wink of Stella over my balloons and the hedgie's needles. Added some of my current favorite embellishment - clear star sequins.
TFL!
