Love it when challenges align in a magical way! Lisa, this week's Ways to Use It hostess, requests fairy tale images for her challenge, Celebrating Hans Christian Andersen. Susie, this week's Teapot Challenge hostess inspiration is from Disneyland's Wonderlands. It's Fantasyland for me!
My favorite childhood books were Andrew Lang's fairy tale collections. I vividly remember the wonder of the Blue Book of Fairy Tales. I was so happy when I found the book at an antique store. Those tales are still marvelous reads
I stamped the image on four pieces of card stock, colored and fussy cut into pieces for layers. I assembled to create dimension and shaped the flower and skirt petals. The text bg is a French fairy tale,A Fairy's Blunder from one of Lang's collections. I printed the text and used chalk to create shading behind the fairy. Hope you'll come join these fun challenges!
