This card is for today's color challenge from Maura. We are having a benefit Sunday for our neighbor friend. For the silent auction, I made up a basket of things from Door County---chocolates, wine, dried cherries, and some home made cards. Keeping with the area's theme, went with the beach scene. This image is from an old book from years ago when doing pen and ink pictures. Scanned from the book, and made it the size needed. Things sure have improved through the years...use to trace with a light box or used carbon paper. Colored the image with inkpads, scored the stripes. This also fits for the monthly fan club challenge---slant. TFL

Linda, oh, Linda, I agree with Kittie that you ought to see about getting some of your artwork made into stamps. I love this and would buy it in a heartbeat. My DH grew up with sailboats. WOW, I love your layout and amazing coloring. Beautifully done, and you do have a big heart, sweet friend. And whoever bids the highest will be getting something made with lots of love!! Hugs and love to you!

Wow! This card is so striking! I absolutely love the bold colours and the little bit of stitching around some of the edges. So glad you could reproduce it from your sketchbook...it's amazing!

Oh Linda, this is so lovely. The layout is fabulous...it looks like sails on a boat. Your main image is colored beautifully, and the circle looks fantastic against the angles. Forget the basket,I would bid a lot just for the card.
