I tried to get both challenges covered to-day. First the border ...which is from a Hampton Arts set that I got at Mike's $ bin. The CAS challenge was to make a special card for a lady. The only 'lady' left on my Mum's side of the family is Auntie and she is a force to be reckoned with even at age 85!!! So this is for her. I had sketched a couple of Iris that were in my garden last year but didn't get around to painting them so I decided that a black and white pen sketch instead of colour would be suitable for this card. Since there was a lot of detail I used a technique called 'cross-hatching' to fill in the areas of shadow.

Wow; I love the intricacies of the border, works well with that beautifully drawn iris. I like that you did not muck it up with color. The black and white theme and black matting really wow.
