The Inspiration Challenge today is from Audrie's Pinterest Board "The Beauty of the Single Layer". I was in the mood for some red, so I was drawn to this card which is beautifully done via a stencil:
I was forced into clean and simple cards in a way. It was becoming ridiculous to mail cards with anything on them here in Canada - a knot on a card done in bakers twine cost me $1.85 to mail! But once I started I became addicted and love to learn new ways in clean and simple design. For this card I coloured my stamp with markers and spritzed with water - a technique Karen Dunbrook has mastered and kindly explained in detail. I really do love the look. I did use a stencil with a very light hand in the background for a small amount of lattice in TH Distress Inks Tumbled Glass and stamped my sentiment with the assistance of MISTI in bold black ink. And, yes a few sequins! I must have used the correct amount of water as my card did not buckle or bend or puff - yeah!! Thanks for looking ...
