This is pencil over ink--Craft White on black velveteen paper, colored with SU! metallic pencils. I wrapped the edges of the velveteen paper around a square of matboard and backed it with another square of matboard before I mounted it on the card. The purple background is polished stone. The background border is gold embossed. I don't know if you can really see it, but there is a nice metallic sheen on the main image. The angle of the photo was the best I could do to show the dimension, the texture of the velveteen paper and avoid glare on the polished stone all at the same time.

Wow Leslie! This is way cool! Your polished stone is soooooo beautiful! It looks like a piece of marble. You did a great job on the velvet piece! How interesting! Got any Elvis stamps?
Wow, Leslie, this is such an elegant card! The image on the velveteen is gorgeous and everything else compliments it so well. Outstanding polished stone and I love the flower brad! Gold and velvet make such a great statement.

The dimension on your card Leslie are just incredible. What a fantastic effect. Thank you for making such an effort to photo the dimensions and avoid glare. I can't wait to see IRL. This is a true work of art!

Purple and gold and velvet - a very regal and lovely combination. I'm sure this is even more stunning IRL. This velvet painting technique is most intriguing. I must try it soon. TFS. Linda
