Today's WT challenge is to theme our cards to our favorite season.
Hands down, mine is spring when everything is fresh and new. I went a step further and depicted my favorite place to go in the spring.....Missouri Botanical Garden's Japanese Garden, Seiwa-en. It is glorious with blooming cherry trees, plum trees, azaleas, and peonies...all against that "new-growth green"....and reflected on the water of the lake. Tried to capture it in my watercolor.

Added note: I can see where the die cuts can be interpreted as "vines"......although I was trying to give the feeling of weeping willow branches that are on one side of the lake and frame one's view. Guess I wasn't too successful. : )

This one is incredible! The painting is exquisite, Sallie! What a gorgeous place. Love the framing of it with the die cuts. Honestly, this should be framed! Your artwork is always amazing!

Yes - I see weeping willows - no doubt about it. They are the perfect frame for this lovely image. I would love to go to Japan during the cherry blossom festival - perhaps one day.

I thought of willow branches when I first saw this beauty Sallie. I have been working on my water colour "homework" which are the tree leaves, so I smile when I see this ... you make it look so easy and now I can say - easy it is not. This is truly beautiful, thanks for sharing.
