This is one of the cards I made for this week's Teapot Party. I always love it when it's time to Tickle a Teapotter - it's so much fun! AND I have the honor of hosting this month's Tickle - very cool!
I found this jester image in one of my card-making programs on my computer, and pulled him into Photoshop so that I could duplicate him, add the text, and turn him into an upside down image. I colored him in PS and printed him on heavy white cs. To intensify the colors, I added coloring with Spectrum Noir markers. His costume was colored over with various Gelly Roll Stardust pens for lots of sparkle. I traced back over all the lines with a very fine point marker and added clear Gelly Roll Glaze pen to his eyes, and gold Gelly Roll Metallic pen to the bells on the hat(s). I traced over the words with a VersaMark pen and heat embossed with clear ep.
I found a really nice set of card suit icons on the internet and downloaded them and printed them out. I applied Stardust pen to them as well and fussy cut them out. The heart got a very thick coat of Glossy Accents - without bubbles! That's a first for me! The other three, which decorate the inside of the card, were sprayed with a clear glaze for shine without dimension.
The Joker, matting layers and a piece of craft foam were die cut and put together with Sookwang tape. The craft foam layer is behind the focal layer for added dimension.
I cut the card base, specifically sizing the step for the size of the image panel. It took more than one try to get it right, LOL! Since it looked so bare, I die cut the trellis from blue cs and added to the sides. There is a piece of it decorating the inside of the card as well. It was all adhered (very carefully) with spray adhesive. I adhered the heart to the Joker with craft foam.
I had so much fun designing and creating this card! I can't wait to see who I send it to!
As always, thanks for looking!
