I received a call from my daughter, a dispatcher who requested I make a card for a patrolman's mom for her 50th birthday. Sounded easy, until she stipulated that he wanted a naked redhead sleeping in a dog bed. Nope, no can do. A day later, she stops over and asks, " so will you do the card?" I answer no. Coloring naked anything is just not me. Stamp or image, not possible to locate one. I turned the tables and agreed to do it IF he finds an image that is decent. He turned up with this one, thankfully with clothes on. Mom got a little looped when she was 40 and while undressing, fell into the dog bed where she remained for the night. Thus the request. I did this all digitally in Photoshop Elements. The clipping mask (the black behind the image) was a free one from the internet. I used brushes (digital stamps) to create the scrollwork and dragonflies and used free digi paper from Scrapbook.com adding subtle stamping to the background. A good friend helped come up with a sentiment. I stitched around the edges to add some texture and added a few Ranger enamel accent dots to the background. Thanks for stopping and thanks Diane (ciocidi) for the inspiration to try digital again.

I have long admired your amazing creative talent but your expertise with photshot just blows me away ....
Certainly a one off card, what a great job you did with his request (less the naked lady of course!!) and the inside is just as creative ....

Oh man, Nancy, I laughed my self silly over this! You did an absolutely fantastic job on this. This police officer owes you big time! Not only is this a one of a kind card, the story line behind it just keeps on giving - 10 years after the oops *laughing*

Love the story behind this! What fun. The true fun in making cards - when you can bring someone's idea to life (yours or someone else's). This is a great birthday card and I can hear the hooping and hollering that went on when she opened this one. Many hugz to you my friend. I am still around lurking in the bg.
