This is my card for the IC477 challenge "from the tool shed". Our site this week is the the blog of our own Angela Maine. Angela is amazingly talented, and I've been a fan of hers for a long time. I'm adding this to the F4A253 challenge "A CASE of Admiration", because Angela was on my list for that challenge, too.
I chose this card of Angela's to CASE after spending a looong time drooling over her gorgeous works of art:
This was so fun to do, and so easy if you use the dryer sheet trick to remove cuts from the dies. If you aren't familiar with this awesome technique, check out this YouTube - you'll be glad you did!
This die leaves what you would normally think of as negative space in your project. The cut out pieces were all attached to the dryer sheet; I colored them and then inlaid them back into the proper spaces (I had turned the piece over and covered the open area with tape). After stamping the sentiment with the help of my MISTI tool, I popped the layer on a cut-to-size piece of lime green craft foam. So fun when you look at the card from the side!
As always, thanks for looking!
