I am very far behind on making Christmas cards, so I'm especially grateful to Karen for the Color Challenge for this week, which is Cherry Cobbler, Metallic Gold and Mossy Meadow. These colors are a perfect inspiration for Christmas cards! Dessert option is All That Sparkles, which could be the gold, but also anything additional on the card: And I have lots!
I bought this adorable snowman stamp after Christmas last year, and have only used it once before, so it is going to be making a lot of appearances on our cards this year. I drew in a spring of holly on his hat, which gave me the opportunity for the first of many sparkles on this card, a dot of red Stickles. I used a stencil with embossing paste to create the snowflakes, and then immediately sprinkled with fine glitter, to add to the sparkles. Finally, I went over the heart with my Wink of Stella brush, so it sparkles, too. The sentiment and scalloped oval are gold.
Thanks for looking! Please play along with us this week, and seize this opportunity to add a card or two to your Christmas card stash!

Barb, I somehow missed this during the week...OMG it is sooo terrific. The sparkles everywhere are so festive. I love the red heart - it must look awsome IRL. The stitch lines on the snow look fantastic. Amazing card.
