WooHoo itÂ’s tickle a Teapotter time! Wanda aka wendy2512, has given us a terrific story about Daisy-May her best friend Dixie and the annual Harvest Dance. Our challenge is to bring something that will help make a pretty dress for the dance.
Daisy-May and Dixie still can’t find the cord to their sewing machine so they decided to meet up at Miss Wanda’s Boutique after school. As you can see Daisy-May is already in the shop keeping an eye out for Dixie, she has found the perfect dress on display in the front window. You can imagine her surprise when Dixie turns up in almost an identical dress (almost two sizes too big for her – but that’s another story).
Now about the card, this is a double stair step card (you didnÂ’t see that coming did you). Even though Daisy-May is just a head and neck, she did start out as a full sized Sassy Cheryl digi image. She wouldnÂ’t fit behind the window, so a little trimming was necessary.
Dixie also started out life a Sassy Cheryl digi image – normally she is carrying a fishing rod, I had to cut the fishing rod off for obvious reasons. I have given her a little handbag – she carries it like a mini Kim Kardashian don’t you think. Her dress is a bit too big and her arm looked like it was sticking out of her tummy, so I cut her arm off, trimmed the dress sleeve, then stuck her arm back on.
All the usual trimmings have been added – awnings, flourishes, push bike (a gift from lovely Peggy more than a year ago). The lamppost was a RAK from a Teapotter – I got a few tickle treats muddled up recently, so I am not sure who this is from, but I do love it.
Have a great week ladies. Thank you for looking.

Wow, I am later than even Karen was, but just had to come in and tell you how sweet this is - I so look forward to seeing your amazing cards and reading your "adventurous" descriptions of how the card took some twists and turns as you set out to make it!! Your story of having to move limbs with Dixie , and remove part of Daisy since she didn't fit had me in stitches. Love the lamp post and bicycle and the lovely paper pieced dresses!!
So sorry I missed this tickle tea party, but was on call to run take care of my SIL while my brother was getting checked out in the hospital - turns out, after 4 weeks with pneumonia, he got Lyme disease and a further result of Bell's Palsy, so not a commitment I could be sure to finish on time. Oh well, maybe next month!!!
Hugs!
