This is my card for this weekÂ’s cc432 challenge. Peggy is our hostess and she chose the trio of smoky slate, crushed curry and coastal cabana. Our dessert is to use any type of embossing.
I donÂ’t have the new colors yet. But, I did have some crushed curry cs and dsp from when it was an in-color previously. So I am making color subs this week. I used basic gray and pool party.
My layout is this week’s MojoMonday #299 sketch. I chose to make a round card. I used the Spellbinders lacey circle die and cut my card base in crushed curry. The next layer I used a Spellbinders circle die and cut some crushed curry dsp from the SU “razzleberry lemonade” collection.
I added a strip of crushed curry ribbon over the dsp. My pennant flag, circle and rectangle panels are all cut in basic gray.
The pennant is MFTÂ’s flag stax die, the circle I dry embossed with the SU fancy fan ef, the rectangle panel I stamped in pool party ink and used the pocket silhouettes stamp set.
My sentiment is from the SU set "kind and caring thoughts".
I die cut a butterfly in pool party using a Cheery Lynn designs die. Added some gray rhinestones to complete my card.
Hope you can play along with us this week. As you can see, it is okay to use similar colors from what you have in your stash.
Accessories: Spellbinders circle and lacey circle dies, MFT flag stax die, circle punch, Sizzix fancy fan ef, Cherry Lynn Designs butterfly die, Gray rhinestones, crushed curry ribbon
