It's Teapot Tuesday and this week we are thinking of Karin and her family. This card is going in the mail tomorrow.
This weeks story is all about Corin Corina. Miss Corin has organised a road trip for all her "quilting" friends in search of more quilting fabric. We teapotters have been asked to offer our assistance and keep track of everyones fabric stash (if they came to Australia, I think I could kick start their journey off very nicely). Anyway, back to the story. There has been a promise of tea and cookies, so I have bought the teapot!!
We were asked to bring quilting to the party in pastel colours. I used one of my favourite Prima papers - Annalee. I cut 1" squares with my Fiskars punch (my very first crafting tool), inked all the edges, adhered them to metalic cardstock and then set up my sewing machine to do all the stitching. Slight problem...I couldn't find the power cord to my machine. Don't you hate it when you have a huge tidy-up and then you can't find anything!!!
Being a resourceful teapotter I resorted to Plan B. In this instance, Plab B is a 01 light brown Micron pen and doing lots of little criss-crosses.
I had 42,000 attempts at drawing a teapot. The biggest problem was making it to fit in a 6" square envelope. It just fits (on an angle). I attached a small mountain fold card to the back of the teapot, so it sits up nicely and I can write a note.
I was going to hang a real teabag from the pot, but I thought some enthusiastic drug dog-in-training might get the wrong idea at customs. The pot still needed something extra so I turned to my much treasured box of stickles.
Have a wonderful week and thank you for looking.
