Here's my card for today's Tea Party - it's all about flowers - if we choose - our cards will be going to Sherry. It's the anniversary of her husband's passing this month from a tragic car accident so it's a hard time of year for her.
My card design was inspired by these garnet slippers from the MacKenzie-Childs web store from Saturday's Inspiration Challenge.
My gold panel is stamped and embossed in black. I dyed some white lace black using black reinker for under the flower which is from Michaels.
Inside I stamped Psalm 46:1 - God is our strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
I hope my card will bring pleasure to Sherry and that the Psalm verse will bring her comfort.

This card is so pretty! I love the background you have here and the flower really makes it all so elegant!

Julia - this has been catching my eye all along as I work through the gallery. It was the lovely flower and the lace that caught my eye - but I can't believe you stamped the background!! It looks like fabulous flocked damask - totally gorgeous.

Julia, your card is absolutely stunning. I love the black lace and that beautiful flower. I couldn't agree more with the verse you stamped inside. I have had to rely on that verse quite alot the past few months as I deal with my broken neck and surgery. TFS such an uplifting, beautiful card.
