MMTPT180 The Mail Gets Through
Photo Details
For this week's tea-party, which was even more challenging than last week, with no Sponge Bob here. I'm very vaguely familiar with him from when I used to mind my best friend's little daughter, so I incorporated a crab, a pink starfish and a snail, all with their cargo of blingy hearts. And I put lots of yellow on the front with Snoopy's bus, which broke down before he was able to deliver his underwater crew to Joshua.
A2 base. Papers are Basic Grey Lime Rickey.
Image stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with distress inks and a silver pen for the chrome. It's layered on black, and I also added a black TH cog.
For the inside, after creating the pop-up mechanism (text reads "The bus broke down but these guys made it through to you, printed on the computer) I cut another piece of DP to layer over the base and scalloped the edges.
My non-authentic Gary, Patrick and Mr Krab were stamped with markers (Shore Thing, Garden Whimsy) and some sand added with a bit of sponging - ha ha, had to include a sponge somewhere ;-).
I can't think of more suitable biscuits to bring along than Sablés (French for sand) - but alas, we've eaten all the packs that we brought back from France last autumn!!
