I know, what a lame title but this card comes with a story. But first.....thanks Rox for another great sketch!....now the story....
A couple weeks ago I went on a trail ride with DD so I had to buy some "cowboy" boots. I really liked DD's boots and asked where she got them. She told me to go to the Boot Barn because they had some really cute ones that were shorter and had "pink on the tops".
So off to Boot Barn I went. Told the sales lady what DD said and she took me right to them. Justin Boots, round toe and "pink tops". OH, DD told me to get a size 8 so she could wear them too. Problem was the 7 1/2 fit me to a tee. I came really close to buying her a pair too. Thank goodness I didn't.
When I showed her my pink topped boots she looked at me kind of funny and said, "they had ones with just a touch of pink on the tops". But don't get me wrong mom, those look just fine. Yeah right.
You know, when you wear jeans you can't really see the tops and I, not being a girly girl, am starting to like them. So you never know!
I made this card for my Sis, Connie Jo9. I shared a photo of me riding DD's horse, Max on Facebook yesterday and she says "I want to see the tops!" So today, I took a photo, cut them out and put them on my card. My bg was a technique I just saw on Stamp TV called distressed letterpress.
Well, sorry this is so long but didn't want you to think I am "really" crazy, putting a photo of my boots on my card. hehe......TFL :0)
Hi Sis! What do you think? Hi NC Sis!

WOW!!! What an awesome card. I love the textured background technique you just learned ... It is perfect with those awesome boots. Great colors to go along with the pink tops which I think are sooooooo cool. Boots have come a long way since the last pair of Justin's I bought. Thank you for making a card to show off the boots. Looks like a lot more people like your card too!!!! Want a COPY!!

What a fantastic bg!!! I like your pink top boots. I have a pair of John Deere boots that the top is green. They are the most comfortable ones I have. Be careful getting Ariat boots. They HURT the top of my feet :-) Their shoes are great but not so much on the boots.

So that is a photo of the real boots! They're adorable! If all boots looked that cute, I would be very interested in buying myself a pair. Love the background to your card too. The whole thing is awesome, and your sis is going to love it.

Loved your card Cathy...And the funny story about the boots, hahaha just a little pink on the top, and the ones u got were all pink on the top..I got a laugh at that one...but like u say they'll grow on you...I probably would get used of them too...In *way younger days* I had a couple pair of boots, but that was a long time ago and no pink ones, hehe..
I was never a *girly person* either...
I loved living in Wyoming. To this day, I don't know why I moved back to MN. Wyoming is a beautiful state.
