Based on the sneak peek I made this for the TPT challenge today. Having grown up within earshot of the sea I could make beach cards all day, and hope to have time to make another once I get the housework out of the way. But this will do good as a guy card - no matter what embellishments I tried adding (shells, twine, buttons, even an orange star one that was almost a starfish) nothing worked, so it stands or falls as is.
It's a big bigger than my usual, as I stamped the scene and then didn't want to trim it too much.
Base is 7x5" cream card, stamped with Weathered in Weathered Wood. I drew a brown line 1/4" in, then masked inside that and sponged around the rest with Antique Linen. The very edge is sponged with Vintage Photo, as is the edge of the image panel.
Image panel is watercolour paper. Most of the stamps are Kittie Kits Cause a Scene, with the birds from Shore Thing. I used Versafine Sepia for most of the stamping, with a green marker for the grasses, and some Scattered Straw and Vintage Photo for sand.
Colours used for sponging - Antique Linen, Scattered Straw, Broken China, Stormy Sky.
I'll be back to comment after that housework, and I'll bring some nice sand-free sandwiches and ginger-beer for an alfresco picnic.

The perfect beach scene. I am admiring your wonderful sand colour. I sat there the other night thinking "what colour is sand". It's not sand colour, or brown, or grey, or yellow, or even white for that matter but kind of a mix of it all.

Gorgeous!! This is perfect for a masculine card. What a wonderful scene - I could easily get away from all the cares of the day walking on such a lovely beach - having lived near the Great Lakes all my life I can truly appreciate the beauty of this picture. Several years ago I had to spend a couple of very long and very very hot summers in Phoenix, Arizona and what I missed the most was the water and the beaches. Now I appreciate living near the water all the more. Wonderful watercoloring and sponging. Those birds are so cute, too.

Sabrina, I would frame this in a minute. I can almost hear the ocean. The birds - somehow I knew you'd have birds and these are just perfect. Made me smile - thanks.
