Beulah the Bluebird has been involved in a terrible accident and has not been quite the same since. In need of an attorney she consulted my Dear FIL, with whom she is now birds of a feather. He is brilliant, but in an absent-minded professor sort of way, so he and Beulah have gotten along splendidly. Though he is a Buick man himself (very old school), he now has Beulah tooling around in a red Lexus AND a blue Jag and she can get whatever else she might set her sweet but daft heart upon. In gratitude, Beulah commissioned this portrait to grace the walls of his office. From this angle you can't see any of the fractures to her delicate face, so of course this is the first thing that greets you when you enter his office.
Stamped the bird image in True Thyme on Vanilla and colored with chalks. Cut with Beaded oval Nestie, then spritzed with Periwinkle Radiant Rain. Cut a piece of Amethyst diagonally, ran half through the CB Argyle EF. Stamped the other in print pattern inked with Amethyst and Memento Rhubarb stalk. Mounted the image panel, then matted all with Mellow Moss CS. Stamped the Sentiment in Thyme on Amethyst, punched with Fiskars scalloped oval. Matted with a Moss Nestie then attemped to stitch with my sewing machine. I messed up the tension and the thread broke so it became faux stitching LOL. Tied the crinkled ribbon, attached the button with linen thread. Adhered to a Vanilla card, added the chocolate flourish and pearls and done. PT - 3
I would love to participate in the teapotter exchange, so I guess that the teapotter to my drivers side (left) gets this if she wants it!
Thanks so much for looking and have a peaceful day.

I almost purchased this set Marzi, but didn't know if I could do it justice. You have certainly done that and more. Your selection of colors and details really shine on this one!
