Hello! This card fits today's Free 4 All Challenge: How does your garden grow?
I LOVE climbing vines. I have Mandevilla vines. I have 8 different ones in my garden, that is actually 6 gardens in one. I LOVE the way a very small vine planted in April can cover a trellis within 6 weeks. It's an awesome sight to behold. The beautiful blooms contrast with the luscious leaves and I just sit and enjoy the view. It's one of my favorite summer traditions.
This card was made using the Flowering Vine from Brick Wall. The vine resembles Mandevilla. A very COOL thing about this stamp is that it can be used as a silhouette stamp, or like I used it here. I stamped the image in Landscape. (Olive) and colored in the flower with a pink marker. Next, I OUTLINED the ENTIRE stamped image with a Memento Marker. It was VERY easy to do, and turned a silhouette into line art! Cool, right? Oh, and the centers have mini rhinestones! The rest of the color was acheived by sponging in Palette Hybrid Inks. I added the Nude Palette ink to the designer paper to get a better "match."
Finished card size: 5" square
