I am a little late to the party, but I'm bringing Hedwig's cousin to the party with this double challenge card. I wanted the owl to be peeking out of his tree, so I die cut an oval in the panel. The handsome owl is snowy white with a lovely wasabi green chest. His beak, nose and heart are Saffron. You can't tell but the base of the owl is embossed. I even used the desert for the color challenge this week- twine. It's the first time I'm using my new woodgrain embossing folder- so fun. I also sponged the wood with Soft Suede.
This will go to a young lady afflicted with MS- Marie- who is wheelchair bound and loves owls. That's why I made the owl white so it stands out against the Pacific Point blue. Thanks for viewing and commenting.

I keep being tempted by that folder, and then I talk myself out of it - and then I see a card like this and it's right back on my list again. I like your white owl in the tree - when I made mine white I had a feeling that really a forest wasn't their natural habitat, but they feel much happier now they've got company.

LOVE your use of the woodgrain EF and having the owl peek out of the hole! Great idea!
