Hi! This card was made for today's Ways to Use it Challenge: Absolutely Gradiant-I stamped the sentiment with a self-made babywipe pad; this week's Stampin' B's Challenge to use a banner(sentiment); and for this week's Speedy the Cat's Challenge to use hearts-the background for the teacup is embossed with hearts!
So, up through Wednesday has been very hectic. However, I'm keeping with my promise and stamping a card a day. (It's after midnight, so I'm in the clear! LOL) My hands have been aching like the Dickens, and I have to admit that cold weather, even though I LOVE it, makes me cry in pain. I was keeping the ENTIRE house up tonight, so I decided some stamp therapy was in order. (It was that, or I was going to just type invoices. I think I made the correct decision, don't you?)
The background is Ink, Spray and Smash. I made it by following the directions found .
Next, I stamped the image and colored it with Copics. I wanted to participate in this challenge, so I made an ink pad by squirting a baby wipe with dye based re-inkers. I inked the sentiment in the new baby wipe pad and stamped it onto Snow Storm Smooth. (It worked best on this paper, and not the other, "regular" smooth paper that I had on my stamping table. I made several of these impressions and chose the best one for the card.)
Finished card size: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Total time to create card: 54 minutes (This includes the time used to make the Ink, Spray & Smash background.)
