I am uploading this for a fellow SCSer whom has not yet started her own gallery! And by the looks of this card, you will all agree that SHE NEEDS TO!!!
Anyway, I wanted to share this card and her adorable story. You see she came along with us to the Dog Racing Teaparty in honor of Rachel but no one got to see her card or read her story! So I am taking care of that, right here, right now!
Leave a comment of encouragement on this adorable card for Carolyn (aka CATAANNE) and maybe we can talk her into starting her gallery with other cards the likes of this one! Yay!
Here is HER STORY!!!
I'm Stan the Handy Dandy Fix It Man! I just got word about the first canine race (The Raleigh Drift)! I am heading that way as quick as I can since I know that with all those canines heading down to see Brodie Layne, everything on the way will be a total mess, you know how dogs like to dig, etc. Well, I heard Anne Ryan spent mega bucks fixing up her yard for the big event and I just heard through the canine vine that it was totally ruined and left for a total mess. I just felt I have to stop to help her out. I don't have a dog but do have a super duper truck loaded with supplies to take care of anything! They don't call me "Stan the Handy Dandy Fix It Man for nothing! Karen (Redbugdriver) has a dog and got started late. Maybe her dog can ride along with me since we both come from the same state! I will try to catch him on my way. I think by now he's too late to enter the race. But if he minds his P's and Q's, I'll reward him with his own special tree I'm bringing along! After all the messes are all cleaned up, it might be snowing by the time I get there! But NEVER FRET, "Stan the Handy Dandy Fix It Man" will certainly be there! I will toot my horn loudly so all can hear as I approach! Those poor doggies who are tuckered out can hitch a ride home with me after I have caught up on all the canine news and visited with my pal Brodie and my new friend Rachel. See you Soon!
Told ya it was a cute card and story! You rocked this challenge Carolyn!!! Oh, and just in case you can't see it, that's a compass attached to the hood of his truck so he doesn't get lost on the way to the *race*!

Carolyn ~ this is sooooo cute! Doesn't it feel good to have comments? I joined SCS April 7, 2006, and it took me til April 7, 2009 3 years (to the day-wow, what a coincidence!) to post my first piece. After that, it is so much fun, that I can't stop! Come on, join in the fun! (Plus, the tea potters are terrific!)

Good Grief Carolyn, you have a wonderful eye for color and pattern. I'd love to see more of your work. And anyone who can write a good story has a place at the table at any teapot gathering Cindy hosts.

Oh Carolyn - you are in the same spot I was a few months back. Guess who encouraged me to start uploading my cards - yep - Mudder herself! And, I also started my blog because of her. Each and every one of the teapotters, as well as all the other ladies here on SCS are just the kindest and fun ladies ever!! Your card is darling - as well as your story. The colors and layout are wonderful on your card. Please join us - Mothermark always has the best destinations for the parties and the most deserving of recipients for our cards. Each week, I feel good inside shipping my card off to whoever might be the week's recipient - hoping my card will pull a little smile! Truly, everyone has always been very kind and helpful to me - as they will be to you!

Carolyn, your card is ADORABLE!!! I'm so glad da Mudder is encouraging you to start your own gallery. You have been there in the wings encouraging the rest of us with your wonderfully supportive comments for quite some time, and it's our turn to give back to you!
I'd like to echo what Carla wrote so perfectly:
You DEFINITELY need to start your own card gallery! We'd all love to see your creations! Remember, we were all there once -watching all the fun and wishing we could play along, but being a little intimidated by it all! Once you finally take the plunge, you will be totally hooked and you won't look back! Go ahead, now, go start your gallery! We'll be watching for your cards to start coming in!
