Crisanne is in a jam and needs our help with Chris, her fiance, who is totally stressed over a crossword puzzle competition. Looks like Crisanne is going to need some kind of a roof over her head, so I'm bringing this birdhouse for her.
I had purchased this little chipboard birdhouse eons ago, and when I saw the inspiration teapot, I knew I wanted to photocopy a crossword puzzle from the newspaper and use that as my designer paper.
I first covered the birdhouse in acrylic white paint. I applied the crossword puzzle with Mod Podge, as well as my roof tiles that I made with the larger oval punch. The bird's wing is popped up on a dimensional, and these old SU rub-ons were perfect for my project!
It's late and I need to get to bed so I can get up for work in the morning. I'll get this posted to my blog tomorrow. Oh, and if I'm late for work, it's all my friend, Lynn's, fault. See, she called me about 9:00 p.m. tonight with a couple of questions, which woke up Bertie, forcing her to get her big butt outta her chair and create sumpin' for Teapot Tuesday. Therefore, we stayed up too late! (I love having an alter ego to blame things on---LOL!)
Thanks for looking, and your comments are always appreciated!
Oh, and ya might wanna beware. Bertie took off a little while ago to go to Walmart and purchase No. 2 lead pencils and a new pencil sharpener for the party tomorrow for when we all work these crossword puzzles. You might wanna wear protective goggles cuz I know she's gonna be really annoyed when SCS goes down for the day. That girl can't stand to be without her SCS fix!!!

Wow! This was work. I love that roof and it is so clever to use the crossword puzzle for the walls. Crisanne deserves this tweet home even if dingle head Chris doesn't come up with the word.

This is so cool! It would make a great real birdhouse if it was wood! Darling!
