Congrats to Kristen! I chose Better Picture to case. I changed the images and colors but kept the floral theme and general layout. Instead of a separate sentiment tag, I stamped directly on my vellum overlay.
This is also for the ODBD 2nd Anniversary hop! We used a China Collection as our inspiration picture. I used the blue-violet pitcher for my inspiration and I used the new Our Daily Bread designs set. For the background, I did a gradient water color wash using Peerless water colors, going from violet on the left to pink on the right.
I stamped the violets a number of times on a separate piece of water color paper and used markers and a water brush to color them. After cutting them out, I used a stylus on the back to give them a little dimension. The sentiment was stamped on vellum and I used an embossing border folder on 3 sides and a border punch across the bottom with narrow ribbon threaded through the lattice. I edged the vellum with a white marker.
The violets were attached on top. I didn't want the vellum to warp, so I used the liquid pearls on another piece of vellum. When it dried, I used an 1/8 inch hole punch for uniform size and glued them onto the vellum. A white layer and a moss green layer complete my 5.5 x 4.25 card.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.

So lovely Julie. Your flowers are just stunning. Quick question, when you emboss on the back of your flowers, what do you put it on to do the embossing? ...a foam pad or what? Love your awesome card. TFS :0)
