Stef, cool site today. Got to admit tho, this one was a little tough for me. I went waaaaay outside my comfort zone to make this card. Just about didn't post it. Still don't know why I did......that's how uncomfortable I am with this card. Oh well........details.....
Not sure how this came about, but my focus was on the center of this plate . I knew I had a stamp somewhere that would work. After much searching, I found it and few others I want to use. hehe I stamped my main flower on black cs using versa mark then white ep. Made a mask of the flower, put it on then stamped the vines all around with versa mark and white eb. Cut this out with a circle coluzzle. Ran a line around the edge with a versa mark pen and white ep. Set aside.
On a glossy linen card, I stamped the vines in the corners with versafine onyx black and clear ep.
Glued the circle to the card. Sorry, but it just needed some color so I stamped the small dots with versa mark and red ep. Still needed something. Found this left over Rubbernecker birdie on my table so I popped him up and bravely took a picture.
Well, I am sure you are shocked about as much as I am that I actually made a card like this. You just never know........thanks for stopping by.... & TFL :0)

This is like on of those optical illusions!! At first I couldn't see your flower at all, just the stamens and the curly tendrils. But then I read your write-up, and thought masking - she masked those little wavy lines - and THEN I saw your flower. I like it . Glad you posted it - and at least you didn't have two end up in the bin first.
I think it's good to post our struggle-with cards as well as the wow, I like how this turned out ones - it's all part of creating.

Get a grip, girl! We all have to step outside our comfort zones. Plus, this is not out of your comfort zone in the least. It may have not have as many colors as you normally use, but it's just a great card nonetheless. Silly girl, c'mon now, you can step out of your comfort zone anytime because you do it so gracefully and skillfully. so there, go back and pat yourself on the head or whatever, and take a bow in front of Byron for the stellar card you've created.
