Oh, la pauvre belle Miss Kitty. Ces hommes de l'Ouest ne savent pas que faire - ils croient qu'ils sont des hommes?!! Mais ils ne s'interessent qu'aux vaches, aux revolvers et à la bagarre. Pierre has heard of Miss Kitty's dilemma and is proposing to come to the rescue. Proposing is just what he intends - I lifted the cover on his dish so you could see the socking big heart-shaped diamond ring he has tucked in there, after Miss Kitty has worked her way through the rest of the menu first. And if he isn't exactly a hunk - well, he sure is a good cook and it would do wonders for her saloon business if she offered some fancier food. Who says that it's only men for whom the path to their heart is through their stomach?
Pierre occupied his time on the trip west by trading some of his best recipes for the gold and diamond. He also shot the deer that is featuring as smoked venison on the menu, and to blend in a bit better he made a deerskin version of his chef's whites. He found the cowboy scarf along the trail, too...
Check out the MMTPT challenge on the forum HERE and on Cindy's blog - yay, she's back...
I don't have any hunky stamps like her WWW man - Pierre is the best I can do. And while DH says he'd still have married me if I weren't a cook, I am not so sure - Pierre thinks Miss Kitty will marry him because he IS a cook, and willing to propose to her.
This is 5" wide by about 6" high. I stamped the chef on the base layer, white card, red paisley paper, blue paper and faux suede for the paper piecing. Indian beads (what I always used to call them before seed beads became the correct) traded along the trail work as buttons. Drew some floorboards onto the Basic Grey base layer and coloured them with a bit of paint. The menu is a scrap of black card, with tiny punched gold nails. It's tucked into a slit cut behind the serving dish. The ring is a gold peel-off and a heart-shaped rhinestone.
It's a while since I've made a totally useless card - but there you go...

Well, if this guy, Pierre, can clean as well as he can cook and hunt I say Miss Kitty should go for it. She could always exercise that weight off of him and she'd have the time and energy for it!
What a fabulous card full of terrific details and fun! I will have to get Peggy to translate for me!

Sabrina -- Oh my -- how funny -- I know my froggy might look inviting but really I am sure he would not taste all that good .... those long stick like legs would not have any meat on them I am sure .... I can promiss you that under all that green a kiss will show a very handsom man that Miss Kitty will love -- but he is ready to stand aside if it is a chef she would rather ....
I am hanging out to use my Voila set -- I have seen so many wonderful cards made with him ... Yours is one of them ...

So cute - she may just marry him because he can speak French - such a romantic language. This is so cool - I love all your details! Great job.
