The challenge for today is the Featured Stampers challenge. The featured stamper is Jaydekay and I always like her cards so I thought it would be really tough to decide which card I would case. Turns out it was easy. It was the first one I saw.
As soon as I saw that chicken on the swing I knew I had to use my swinging mousie (from Whipper Snapper as well).
The changes I made were #1 the stamp choice - mouse instead of chicken, #2 I hand drew the tree because I don't have a weeping willow stamp, and #3 the size of the card - I made a long and tall one, oh yeah and #4 I mounted on white rather than black for a card base. Whoops and #5 I left off the sentiment because I couldn't find one right now and in keeping with the kamikazee stamping way - if it ain't right there in front of you - no hunting. Part of me can't wait until I can get at all my things again but part of me is enjoying just playing with whatever is on top of the pile.
I stamped my mousie, drew the tree and grass, masked mr mousie and then sponged the sky in tempting turquoise and the leaves and grass in kiwi kiss with garden green. Next I coloured with tombows on the leaves, grass and tree trunk to give it more depth and then coloured mr mousie. I mounted the panel on whisper white and then drew the black lines and dots around the main panel.
This was a great challenge, a quick card to make, and Jadekay is an awesome inpiration. I'm just afraid that I'm going to find 6 million more cards that I want to case.
We'll see but now I have to go to bed. It's very late,er, early???
Thanks for looking and hope you like my card as much as I enjoyed making it.
